Pictures, etc.

I finally took and uploaded pictures of rusted root

I think it looks better in the picture than it does on, kinda weird. I also have pictures of my next project that I started this weekend. It is a sundress from the new Knit1 magazine (aka my porn)

And true to form, I finish one project only to cast on and immediatly start lusting after three more projects that I just can't wait to start. I don't know what I am going to do when I am back in school and don't have any disposable income for yarn. I finally bit the bullet and bought yarn to start the lacy skirt with bows from greetings from knit cafe. I bought a really cheap yarn from elann.com called callista in cafe creme. I have been lusting after this pattern since I saw it about seven months ago. I think that I might be up to the challenge. It's going to take me forever, but that's okay.

I already had the other yarn used for the ribbons left over from a scarf I made my mom last winter. I got it at the amazing needlework unlimited yarn outlet.

Can't wait until I get the yarn in the mail. I have been eyeing it up to use on the Jess jacket from "my fashionable life"

A FO Finally!

I finally finished Rusted Root! I still need to weave in the ends and do minor adjustments on it, but it is done in my opinion. AND it is NOT too big! Woo HOO! I finished it in the car on the way to my parent's house. It was very satisfying! Kelly kept saying it sounded like I was sharpening knifes in the car, but she put up with it *Thanks Kelly*

I just cast on the sundress from the new Knit1 magazine. I bought the lion brand microspun yarn (I cannot afford to be a yarn snob, but am one at heart) It is going to be basic black...nice and simple....except for the patterns which is taking forever and is kinda complicated (for me). It doesn't help matters that the yarn is REALLY splitty (I know, it's my own fault since it's crappy yarn in the first place and that's what crappy yarn does)

Hopefully I will have some pictures up tonight of Rusted Root and the sundress (which needs a better name)

Almost There!

I am so close to finishing Rusted Root I can taste it! I tried it on last night and I think I should have made a small rather than medium, but oh well. It will be my first complete sweater and I will still wear it so that isn't too shabby. I'm glad that I tried it on since it would have been WAY too long had I kept going as planned. I am driving home tonight with a friend, so I think I will finish it in the car and maybe even cast on my sailor hat! I already made one for my sister for her birthday....no pictures though and that was two months ago.
